任小明,博士,教授,博士生導師。20009月,南京大學配位化學研究所,獲理學博士學位;200010月至20025月,南京大學電子科學與工程系博士后;20025月至200311月,Research Fellow in Max-Planck Institute for Solids, Stuttgart, Germany; 200311月至200512月,JSPS researcher in Research Institute for Electronic Science, Hokkaido University, Japan。200512底回國,20067月,南京工業大學理學院教授(2014年理學院更名化學與分子工程學院),20071月獲博士研究生導師資格。201012月加入南京工大學材料化學工程國家重點實驗室。

研究興趣:磁、電和光等功能性分子及其膜材料結構設計、控制組裝、電子和晶體結構、結構-功能相關性。

目前負責承擔項目:國家自然科學基金面上項目、南京大學配位化學研究所國家重點實驗室開放課題、南京工大材料化學工程國家重點實驗室自主課題。
